Taylor County adds 1 case Wednesday
The Abilene-Taylor County Public Health District reported one new case of COVID-19 on Wednesday, which was confirmed by antigen testing.
Active cases on Wednesday totaled 47 (18 polymerase chain reaction tests and 29 antigen tests), up from 47 reported on Tuesday and 53 the previous week.
The percentage of hospitalized COVID-19 patients in the Abilene 16-County Trauma Service Area was 0.22% Tuesday, down from 0.22% Monday and 0.24% Sunday, according to the COVID-19 Database. Texas Department of State Health Services.
The Abilene Trauma Service Area had two patients hospitalized with COVID-19 on Tuesday, the same number reported on Monday. In the past 24 hours, there has been one admission of COVID-19 in the area, according to the state database.
Hendrick Health reported two patients hospitalized with COVID-19 on Wednesday, both in intensive care, compared to one patient hospitalized a week ago, with none in intensive care.
Both hospitalized patients are believed to be at an Abilene hospital, none at Brownwood Hospital.
