MANDAUE CITY, Cebu — Only vaccinated residents will be allowed during the re-enactment of Minglanilla City’s Sugat Kabanhawan Festival at dawn on Sunday, April 17.

In a notice, the city government said spectators would be required to show their vaccination records when entering the city gymnasium open field site.

“It is forbidden to implement any vaccine card, no entry for ra kini sa kaayohan sa tanan,” the city government said in a social media post.

(We are strictly enforcing the no-vaccine-no-entry card because it’s for everyone’s benefit.)

“Manghinaot kami sa inyong pagsabot,” he added.

(We are counting on your understanding.)

The municipal government has organized several activities for this year’s festival.

One of them is the Sugat Kabanhawan Festival Queen on April 13 which was won by Jastine Joy Mañacap, the representative of Banay Tulaynon from Barangay Tulay.

Last Thursday, the municipal government said in a notice posted on its social media page that residents of Minglanilla town will no longer be required to pre-register for access to the Sugat Kabanhawan festival.

“Just show your vaccination card at the entrance,” he said.

The city’s recent notice clarifies previous guidelines that required spectators to pre-register.
